Dear ACGA members, supporters, and partners, 

As we head into the Fall season I want to take a moment to share some of the new and impactful programs ACGA is undertaking to expand our educational offerings and the vital research ACGA does on behalf of all charities and their donors. 

First, as you may have heard, the ACGA will be launching our CGA professional program in the first quarter of 2027.  This is an exciting new educational offering that will allow fundraising professionals to earn a professional credential showcasing their mastery of Charitable Gift Annuities.  These classes will be available online and are included with the cost of your organization’s membership to the ACGA.  They will focus not only on the technical details of CGAs but also tax implications, administration, investments, and risk mitigation.  Through ACGA membership surveys, the board heard the message about the need to expand our educational offerings and make them nimble and more affordable for today’s fundraising professionals.  The board is very excited to launch the program with your support early next year.  

On the research front, the ACGA will be sharing findings from our recent quadrennial survey in frequent articles and social media posts.  The full survey results are currently available to members, but we hope to share results and findings along with ways charities can act on these results to expand their CGA programs in a way that increases support to charitable organizations.  Be on the lookout for these on our website and social media.

 The ACGA is also excited to share the results of our donor survey on CGAs in an upcoming webinar.  This survey was completed thanks to our partnership with TIAA Kaspick and we greatly appreciate their support in promoting CGAs as simple and effective gifts that help donors and charities thrive.  This is the first of its kind survey where we reached out to current CGA donors from several charitable organizations to get their thoughts directly and now we are thrilled to be able to share these findings with our members and partners.  The ACGA is grateful to the organizations who partnered with the ACGA in making this survey a reality. We are also launching the first ever CGA Day next year.  More to come on this new initiative to help increase the visibility of charitable gift annuities.
