Renee Kurdzos, Director of Gift Planning, Fundraising at The Nature Conservancy. Having worked in development for 26 years, Renee’s previous positions include roles at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, American Red Cross, University of Puget Sound and Seattle Repertory Theatre. She is a past Co-Chair of the Planned Giving Affinity Group for the National Association of Cancer Center Development Officers and a Past President of the Washington Planned Giving Council. Renee currently serves on the ACGA Board. Renee has a Master of Science in Taxation and a Certificate in Estate Planning from Golden Gate University, and has achieved the designation of Certified Gift Planning Specialist through the Institute for Philanthropic Studies at California State University Long Beach. In 2023, Renee received the Frank Minton Professional Achievement Award from the Washington Planned Giving Council in recognition of an outstanding career of service, dedication, and leadership in charitable gift planning. She lives in West Seattle with her husband Kevan, daughters Zoe and Margaret, and dog Jack.
Katie leads a team of designers, marketers, and events specialists responsible for brand, collateral, digital strategy, client/prospect events, sales support, industry research, and analytics for TIAA Kaspick, a provider of planned giving services for charitable organizations nationwide. She has spoken on a variety of topics in planned giving ranging from developing engaging planned giving marketing strategies to understanding technical aspects of deferred gift annuities to the relevant provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Prior to joining TIAA Kaspick in 2013, Katie served as Director of Communications for Marin Academy, a private high school in San Rafael, CA. Previously, she served as Director of Communications for the Haas Center for Public Service and Graphic Designer and Publicist for the Department of Theater and Performance Studies, both at Stanford University. Katie has a BA in Art History from Stanford University and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
